A Study of Meaning Construction of the English Documentary Ancient Adage-Timeless Wisdom from the Perspective of Visual Grammar Theory %A 张力晨 %A 陈佳昕 %A 任圣炜 %A 赵翊彤 %J Modern Linguistics %P 555-561 %@ 2330-1716 %D 2025 %I Hans Publishing %R 10.12677/ml.2025.134382 %X 随着影视传播媒介的迅速发展,纪录片作为一种重要的传播形式,日益成为文化交流、信息传播及社会认知的关键工具。视觉语法理论作为一种分析影视语言的重要工具,提供了一种系统化的框架来解析影像中的意义构建过程。本研究基于视觉语法理论,对英文纪录片《近观》中的意义构建进行了深入分析,探讨了其在再现意义、互动意义和构图意义三大层面上的表达,分析了其中的文化特征及其传递的社会价值。研究发现,纪录片所特有的视听语言有效地传递了文化信息,而视觉语法理论可以对其图像语言进行分析,深层次解释其中的含义。本研究有助于揭示纪录片在视觉呈现中的文化与意识形态构建机制,进一步丰富和完善视觉语法理论在影视分析中的应用。
With the rapid development of film and television media, documentary, as a significant form of communication, has increasingly become a key tool for cultural exchange, information dissemination, and social cognition. Visual grammar theory, as an essential analytical tool for film and television languages, provides a systematic framework to interpret the process of meaning construction in visual texts. Based on visual grammar theory, this study conducts an in-depth analysis of the meaning construction in the English documentary Ancient Adage-Timeless Wisdom and explores its expressions in three dimensions: representational meaning, interactive meaning, and compositional meaning. It further examines the cultural characteristics and social values conveyed in the documentary. It is found that the unique audiovisual language of documentaries effectively conveys cultural information, and the theory of visual grammar can be used to analyze their visual language, providing a deeper interpretation of the meanings within. This research helps to uncover the mechanisms of cultural and ideological construction in the visual presentation of documentaries, thereby enriching and advancing the application of visual grammar theory in film analysis. %K 视觉语法, %K 《近观》, %K 意义构建, %K 文化表达
