As an important support for the country’s cultural soft power, the outstanding traditional Chinese culture is the cornerstone of the Chinese nation’s spirit. The ideological and political course in the compulsory education stage is the junior high school moral and legal education course, which is an important link in implementing the fundamental task of fostering virtue and nurturing people. By exploring the multi-dimensional value of integrating outstanding traditional Chinese culture into the junior high school moral and legal education course, such as enhancing national identity, strengthening cultural confidence, promoting cultural innovation, practicing the core socialist values, and facilitating the implementation of the goal of fostering virtue and nurturing people, this paper then proposes practical paths such as clarifying teaching objectives, enriching teaching content, innovating teaching forms, emphasizing practical activities, and constructing a diversified evaluation system. The aim is to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for curriculum reform, promote the deep integration of outstanding traditional Chinese culture and junior high school ideological and political courses, cultivate new era talents with cultural literacy and cultural confidence, and contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. %K 中华优秀传统文化, %K 初中道德与法治课程, %K 价值, %K 路径
