Nanosecond pulses can be applied in various scenarios such as laser processing, LiDAR, and spectral analysis. Nanosecond pulses generated by traditional methods (such as Q-switched lasers and choppers) lack coherence and, due to limitations in grating technology, cannot be shaped into arbitrary waveforms. This restricts the application of nanosecond pulses in scenarios that require precise control. To address this, we propose a nanosecond pulse generation scheme based on double-sideband modulation, implemented through a parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator. These nanosecond pulses are coherent and can have arbitrary waveforms. Our simulation results demonstrate coherent nanosecond pulses with various waveforms. %K 激光调制, %K 双边带调制, %K 相干纳秒脉冲
