Literary works play a crucial role in reading therapy. Jane Eyre, set in early Victorian England, tells the story of an orphan, Jane Eyre, who resists fate and pursues freedom and equality. Through her journey, the novel shapes a female image of self-respect, self-love, and independence, carrying unique therapeutic significance for female readers. Based on the theory of reading therapy, this paper explores the therapeutic value of Jane Eyre from four perspectives: life values, views on love and marriage, mental health and gender identity.
