This paper addresses the issues in traditional biochemistry teaching models and explores the construction and practice of the “Virtual Simulation Experiment on the Preparation of Hepatitis B Vaccine by Genetic Engineering” course. Centered on the preparation of hepatitis B vaccine through genetic engineering, the course integrates modern biotechnology with three-dimensional information technology to create a highly realistic virtual experimental environment. The paper elaborates on the teaching philosophy, objectives, content, implementation methods, and assessment criteria of the course. By adopting a student-centered teaching design, the course innovates experimental schemes, teaching methods, and evaluation systems, aiming to cultivate students’ abilities to analyze and solve complex biomedical engineering problems while broadening their perspectives.
