Since Zhang Qian opened up the Western Regions, exchanges between the Central Plains and the Western Regions became increasingly frequent, bringing the “Western Regions” into the intellectual discourse of literati and officials. In the annotations of Su Shi’s poetry, numerous elements related to the Western Regions emerge. These annotations address historical figures, natural products, the evolution of place names, Buddhist culture, and other aspects of the Western Regions. They reflect not only the Song people’s perceptions but also the Qing dynasty’s understanding of this region. Systematizing these annotations can deepen the interpretation of Su Shi’s poetry and enrich our knowledge of the Western Regions. %K 苏轼, %K 诗注, %K 西域, %K 《苏轼诗集合注》
