Using the Landsat remote sensing images from three different time periods as the main research object, the study applies the supervised classification method of neural networks to classify the images and extract information on different land use types, with the focus on Lucheng District, Fuzhou City. The study then analyzes the land use changes in Lucheng District during the process of urban expansion and finds that the area of built-up land increased by 17.6% from 2006 to 2017.
