Family economic status plays a crucial role in determining children’s access to educational resources. This study examines the extent to which family income and wealth affect children’s educational opportunities, including the opportunity to enter high-quality schools, participate in extracurricular activities, and receive interest-based education tutoring. This paper conducts an empirical study using online questionnaire data from three different types of university student groups, including the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei Normal University, and Anhui Xinhua University. The study conducts an empirical study to explore the differences in educational investment among different socioeconomic groups through methods such as cross-analysis chi-square tests and regression analysis. The results show that high-income families can afford high-quality educational resources, which leads to cumulative advantages over time.
