Taking the design of ideological and political education in the course of Teacher Professional Growth as an example, this paper demonstrates the concepts and implementation process of the course ideological and political teaching design for the Educational Psychology course among Chinese language and literature normal students. The course focuses on cultivating good teachers with the “Four Haves” as the main line, integrating ideological and political goals into various teaching forms such as peer assistance, group discussions, collective lesson preparation, simulated lectures, and role-playing. At the same time, the curriculum emphasizes the ideological and political value of the teaching subject, leverages the function of activity-based education, and adopts diverse teaching methods and various teaching elements. Through the practice of ideological and political education in courses, students not only master teaching psychology and learning theory, but also cultivate noble teacher ethics, good comprehensive qualities, and professional qualities of teachers. The course features diverse infiltration, activity-based education, in-depth exploration of the ideological and political value of teaching subjects, and the organic integration of professional knowledge and ideological and political elements.
