In search of water, shepherds come to the south of the country where areas supposed to be pastures are often used for market gardening. The movement of animals often leads to conflicts between farmers and herders where Chad loses a large part of its population in several villages. Water production from easily accessible renewable resources can meet the needs of pastoralists in the Saharan zone of Chad. This document estimates the amount of water that a low-powered, easily usable wind turbine can produce to serve the animals at the selected sites. Two wind generators, one with a power of 3.5 kW and the other with a power of 12 kW were applied.
