An Intertextual Reading of Chinese and British Media Coverage on Chinese Sports News Discourse %A 王俊玮 %J Modern Linguistics %P 530-538 %@ 2330-1716 %D 2025 %I Hans Publishing %R 10.12677/ml.2025.133296 %X 基于互文性理论视角，本研究通过批判性话语分析方法对166篇中英主流媒体涉华体育报道进行对比分析，揭示不同文化语境下新闻话语的互文构建机制。研究发现，中英媒体均通过直接引语与间接引语实现话语重构，但呈现显著差异化的互文特征。中国媒体侧重官方信源的权威转述，强调集体成就的客观陈述；英国媒体则通过过渡性引语嵌套社论话语，在报道中植入意识形态批判框架，形成“事实陈述–价值判断”的双层互文结构。研究建议构建多声部互文话语体系，在保持制度性话语严谨性的同时，应加强运动员个体叙事、跨文化互文映射及新媒体话语转译能力，以此解构西方媒体的话语霸权，提升中国体育形象传播的叙事效度与国际话语权。
From the perspective of intertextuality theory, this study conducts a comparative analysis of 166 Chinese and English mainstream media sports reports related to China through critical discourse analysis, revealing the mechanisms of intertextual construction in news discourse within different cultural contexts. The findings indicate that both Chinese and British media utilize direct and indirect quotations to achieve discourse reconstruction, yet they exhibit distinctly different intertextual characteristics. Chinese media emphasize authoritative paraphrasing from official sources and stress objective statements of collective achievements. In contrast, British media nest opinion editorial discourse within transitional quotations, embedding an ideological critical framework in their reports to form a dual-layer intertextual structure of “factual statement-value judgment.” The study proposes the construction of a multi-vocal intertextual discourse system: while maintaining the rigor of institutional discourse, it is necessary to strengthen individual athlete narratives, cross-cultural intertextual mappings, and new media discourse translation capabilities. By doing so, the study suggests decomposing the discourse hegemony of Western media and enhancing the narrative effectiveness and international discourse power in the dissemination of China’s sports image. %K 中国体育形象， %K 互文性， %K 新闻话语
