%X 布鲁姆认为专业化的加剧和永恒问题的缺席导致了自由教育的危机,从而带来了自然科学对学术话语权的垄断,有关整全性问题的探讨在自由教育中逐渐缺失。而解决这一危机的途径在于恢复对经典文本的深入研习,纠正对理性的滥用,警惕普泛化的危险,并通过对经典的阅读培养大学生对正义和真理之爱,以及对公共善的追求。尽管面临诸多挑战,但自由教育为中国教育体系提供了重要补充,自由教育有助于培养具有精神和灵魂的人,支撑大学和社会的发展,未来的教育改革应平衡自由教育与专业教育,以更好地适应社会需求。
Bloom asserts that the intensification of specialization and the neglect of eternal questions have triggered a crisis in liberal education. This crisis has resulted in the monopolization of academic discourse by the natural sciences and the gradual disappearance of discussions surrounding integrality within liberal education. The solution to this crisis lies in reviving the in-depth study of texts, correcting the misuse of reason, guarding against the dangers of generalization, and cultivating in university students a love of justice and truth, as well as a commitment to the pursuit of the public good through the reading of classics. Despite numerous challenges, liberal education provides an important complement to the Chinese educational system. It helps cultivate individuals with spirit and soul, supporting the development of universities and society. Future educational reforms should balance liberal education with specialized education to better meet social needs.
