Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine disease most commonly seen in women of childbearing age and is often associated with abnormalities of glucose and lipid metabolism, resulting in complications such as Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM), hyperlipidemia, etc. PCOS is also considered to be one of the high-risk factors for T2DM, and the two disorders are related to each other. The theory of “common soil” indicates that certain metabolic diseases have the same pathophysiologic basis. Based on this theory, this article discusses the correlation between the etiology and pathogenesis of PCOS and T2DM from the perspective of Chinese and Western medicine, with a view to providing new ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of the two diseases. %K “ %K 共同土壤” %K 学说, %K 多囊卵巢综合征, %K 2型糖尿病, %K 异病同治, %K 理论探讨
