The social value of classical poetry is becoming more and more prominent in improving aesthetic accomplishment, transmitting humanistic feelings and inheriting Chinese culture. Focusing on the academic community, it is not difficult to find that the current research market of Uyghur translation mainly focuses on current politics, film and television, and literature, with less research on the translation of ancient poetry and even weaker research on the combination of theory and practice. Bilingual translation and its quality not only affect the spread and exchange of poetry culture, but also influence the functioning and effectiveness of poetry itself. Therefore, in border areas with diverse cultures and different languages, the study of Uygur translation is particularly important. This paper applies the functional equivalence theory to the translation of ancient poetry, combines the theory with practice, selects 63 representative works of Li Bai for Uyghur translation research, summarizes the specific translation principles and strategies, helps the second language learners comprehend the poetry content, triggers emotional resonance, and is conducive to the communication and dissemination of information and culture between Chinese and Uygur, as well as the mutual understanding and common prosperity of ethnic groups. %K 功能对等理论, %K 《李白诗集》, %K 翻译原则, %K 翻译策略
