The construction and optimization of e-commerce platforms are inevitable requirements for the educational publishing industry in China to enter a new development stage. Based on the mediating effect of e-commerce platforms, this paper empirically studies the path of integrated and innovative development in the field of educational publishing under the background of the digital economy. With the digital reform of educational publishing houses as the research perspective, based on the coupling relationship between e-commerce and the digital reform of educational publishing houses, starting from both theoretical knowledge and practical guidance, this paper systematically explains the key enabling forces of the e-commerce business model in integrating the digital economy and the real economy. The study finds that the formation mechanism and development path of e-commerce clusters have a positive enabling effect on the digital reform of the educational publishing field in China, which is conducive to enhancing the “novelty” and “value” of educational publishing. The digital reform of educational publishing houses can also enable the upgrading of the industrial structure of the educational publishing industry, promote the mutual complementarity of advantages between the two sides through the integration of industry and education, and lay the foundation for the path of building a strong educational country.
