Research on the Current Situation and Problems of Campus Linguistic Landscapes in Newly-Built Undergraduate Universities—Taking Yunnan Technology and Business University as an Example %A 任丹 %J Modern Linguistics %P 223-232 %@ 2330-1716 %D 2025 %I Hans Publishing %R 10.12677/ml.2025.132150 %X 校园语言景观作为一种特殊的语言实践,是一个学校精神风貌、文化特色的象征。本研究采用观察法对云南工商学院的校园语言景观进行现状调查,并通过问卷调查了解学生对校园语言景观的关注程度以及后者对前者文明行为养成的影响。研究结果表明,该校校园语言景观在语码取向、字刻、材质与置放、英译质量上都有较大改进空间。基于此,本研究提出想要最大程度发挥校园语言景观的信息、象征和育人功能,学校宣传部等相关部门可以联合各个学院,合作进行校园语言景观的设计、美化和英译,充分发挥各专业的专业特色和全体师生的主人翁意识,共建文明、美好的校园环境。
As a special language practice, campus linguistic landscapes symbolize the spiritual outlook and cultural characteristics of a school. Taking observation and questionnaire survey as the main methods, this research investigates the current situation of the campus linguistic landscapes in Yunnan Technology and Business University (YTBU) and students’ attention to these landscapes as well as the latter’s influence on students’ civilized behavior formation. The research results show that there is still great room for improvement in the campus linguistic landscapes in this university in terms of code orientation, inscription, material and placement, as well as the English translation. Based on this, this study proposes that to maximize the informational, symbolic and educational functions of the campus linguistic landscapes, the university’s publicity department and other relevant administrative departments should collaborate with various majors and departments to jointly design, beautify and translate the campus linguistic landscapes, thus to enable the faculty and students to develop a sense of ownership and build a civilized and beautiful campus environment. %K 校园语言景观, %K 语码取向, %K 字刻与置放, %K 英译, %K 育人功能
