%X 英语虚拟语气长期以来一直是二语学习者的痛点,同时也是语言教学中的一大难点。认知语言学范畴中的象似性认为语言结构、概念结构、认知结构与人的经验结构具有同一性,为语言形式的理解与阐释另辟了蹊径。从认知的象似性角度出发,从标记性、时态滞后性、实现可能性和事件掌控度等方面借助我们人类的经验结构,可以帮助我们揭示虚拟语气的形式及其意义之间的联系,探究虚拟语气形成的底层思维逻辑,从而更好地理解虚拟语气这一语言现象,为语言教学提供启示。
English subjunctive mood has been a hard task for EFL learners and teaching for a long time. Iconicity principle in the category of cognitive linguistics holds that there are similarities between language structure, conceptual structure, cognitive structure and human experiential structure, which has opened up a new path for the interpretation of language forms. From the perspective of iconicity, by drawing on our human experiential structure in aspects such as markedness, lag of tense, realizability and degree of event control, it can help us reveal the connection between the forms and meanings of the subjunctive mood, explore the underlying thinking logic of the formation of the subjunctive mood. It could also help us to better understand the language phenomenon of the subjunctive mood and provide implications for language teaching.
