Analysis of English Translation Problems and Principles of Corporate Profile from the Perspective of Skopos Theory—Taking Top 500 Chinese Enterprises in Jiangsu Province as Examples %A 韩佳雪 %J Modern Linguistics %P 787-793 %@ 2330-1716 %D 2025 %I Hans Publishing %R 10.12677/ml.2025.131108 %X 在中国企业的国际化进程中,良好的企业简介英译版发挥着重要作用。本文从目的论视角,以江苏省全国500强企业为例,探析了企业简介英语译文中存在的问题及可能的原因,并提出了相应建议。研究发现,国内企业简介英语译文中,主要存在语用和文化两方面问题。从译者角度看,其主要原因在于:未充分重视企业简介的宣传推广目的;未充分考虑译文的目标读者;过于重视形式对等。基于此,建议其应当遵循目的原则、译文目标读者导向原则和功能适应性原则。
In the internationalization process of Chinese enterprises, a good English translation version of corporate profile plays an important role. The paper analyzes the problems and possible reasons in the English translation of corporate profiles from the perspective of Skopos Theory, taking the top 500 Chinese enterprises in Jiangsu Province as examples, and puts forward the corresponding suggestions. It is found that there are mainly pragmatic and cultural problems in the English translation of domestic corporate profiles. From the translators’ point of view, the main reasons are: insufficient attention to the publicity and promotion purpose of the corporate profile; insufficient consideration of the target readers of the translated text; and excessive emphasis on formal equivalence. Based on these, it is suggested that it should follow the principle of purpose, the principle of orientation to the target readers of the translated text, and the principle of functional adaptability. %K 企业简介, %K 目的论, %K 翻译问题, %K 翻译原则
