The design of long-life pavement structure is crucial to improve the durability and economic efficiency of road infrastructure. In this paper, the design index, design index, pavement structure type and pavement structure design method of Long-Life pavement are analyzed comprehensively. Firstly, the design concept of long-life pavement is summarized, and the importance of structural design, construction technology, economy and environmental sustainability is emphasized. Secondly, the design index is discussed, which should consider the structural design, drainage system and mechanical properties of roadbed and pavement. Then, the common combinations of long-life pavement structures at home and abroad are described, and their design considerations and applicability are discussed. In addition, the design method of asphalt pavement structure is listed in detail.
