The accelerated evolution of modern science and technology promotes the upgrading and transformation of public cultural services. Reading in the digital age breaks through the physical limitations of time and space and realizes the transformation from paper to screen. In this process, the body senses also participate in the construction of reading meaning through intelligent means, which opens a new embodied reading experience for readers. Starting from the profound impact of digitalization on readers’ reading behavior, this paper analyzes the embodied characteristics of digital reading behavior from the perspective of embodied cognition theory, and takes East Library of Shanghai Library as an example to illustrate the strategy and path of implementing embodied interactive reading through digital reading services in public libraries.
