With the rapid development of science and technology, autonomous vehicles have gradually become an important trend in future transportation. However, the frequent occurrence of traffic accidents caused by autonomous vehicles has also aroused widespread concern about the identification of criminal responsibility. This paper expounds on the legislative status quo of traffic accidents caused by autonomous vehicles, analyzes the core issues such as the subject of criminal liability in traffic accidents caused by autonomous vehicles, identification standards, and distribution of responsibility, and then discusses the legal improvement strategy of criminal liability caused by autonomous vehicles, hoping to build a more fair and reasonable liability identification system to ensure road traffic safety. Promote the healthy development of autonomous driving technology.
