By combining ecological theory and ideological and political education, the teaching team of the “Aquatic Ecology Internship” Course effectively integrates the teaching elements of ideological and political education into the practical teaching content, aiming to cultivate students’ environmental awareness, sense of social responsibility and comprehensive quality. Various methods such as field trips, on-site teaching at sampling sites, laboratory analysis, classroom discussions and case studies are adopted during the teaching process in order to promote students’ in-depth understanding and thinking of ecological environmental protection in watersheds. This comprehensive educational approach effectively enhances students’ learning interest and participation, strengthens their sense of social responsibility, and cultivates their awareness of environmental protection and patriotism. Ideological and political education in the “Aquatic Ecology Internship” Course is of great significance for the cultivation of high-quality applied talents specialized in biological sciences with comprehensive development of morality, intelligence, physicality, aesthetics and labor.
