The Glorious Tang period’s ritual and music costume culture was vibrant and inclusive. Many garments made their way to Japan and are preserved today as cultural treasures in the Shosoin Repository in Nara. This study focuses on Tang ritual costumes in the Shosoin collection, drawing on primary sources like the Shosoin Todaiji Treasure Map and Shosoin’s Dance and Music Costumes: Japanese Fine Arts 520, along with historical documents and museum resources. By systematically categorizing the forms and patterns of these garments, this study explores their symbolic elements and the aesthetic principles they represent, analyzing their impact on modern aesthetics and design. %K 盛唐礼乐服饰, %K 正仓院, %K 形制, %K 纹样
