In the context of globalization and the information age, the city visual identity system (VIS) has become an essential tool for urban brand building. This paper takes the Jinan city VIS as a case study to conduct an in-depth analysis of its design elements and application standards, and explores its comprehensive application in urban brand communication, cultural resource integration, international communication, digital construction, economic development collaboration, and urban renewal and historical cultural protection.
