“Filial piety”, as an important component of the traditional family virtues of the Chinese nation and an ethical spirit in the excellent traditional Chinese culture, is crucial for personal cultivation and the foundation of family order and social stability. Compared to the period when traditional filial piety was formed over two thousand years ago, the youth of the new era pursue individuality more and pay more attention to self-expression. The era also puts forward new and higher requirements for the education of youth filial piety. The education of youth filial piety in the new era should adhere to the guidance of the Marxist view on youth, follow the development concept of socialist core values, practice the spirit of respecting the elderly and loving relatives in the excellent traditional Chinese culture, and actively work in three aspects: inheriting family contracts, reducing intergenerational estrangement, and emphasizing filial piety demonstrations. This will guide contemporary youth to consciously identify with and pass on the filial culture, accumulating youthful strength for building an elderly-friendly society of co-construction, co-governance, and sharing and promoting the formation of a whole society actively responding to the aging population structure. %K 人口老龄化, %K 新时代青年, %K 孝道教化, %K 老年友好型社会
