With the arrival of the era of rapid information dissemination, the popularity of the application of generative AI has been accelerating, and it has been greatly valued in the education industry. Generative AI represented by ChatGPT came out of nowhere, and it exploded globally within a week of its launch. According to the analysis of existing data, ChatGPT gained more than 1 million users in just one week after its launch, and its monthly active users exceeded 100 million in two months after its release. This paper focuses on the development research of generative AI-enabled educational publishing, and through in-depth analysis of the current status of the application of generative AI in educational publishing and its potential, it explores the feasibility and path of the integration of the two. It is found that generative AI can effectively improve the quality and efficiency of educational publishing content and meet the demand for personalised learning. In order to achieve the integrated development, it is necessary to pay attention to the problems of data content resources, algorithm optimisation, copyright protection, etc., and propose corresponding strategies. This study also provides a useful reference for educational publishers in digital transformation, which helps to promote the innovation and sustainable development of educational publishing.
