Course Construction of Introduction to Major English-Speaking Countries from the Perspective of CAS %A 张翼 %A 贾培培 %J Advances in Education %P 7-11 %@ 2160-7303 %D 2024 %I Hans Publishing %R 10.12677/ae.2024.14122224 %X 《英语国家概况》等国别文化类课程在英语专业本科课程体系中占有重要地位,然而在英语专业人才培养转型的背景下,课程教学存在不足,体现在知识传授缺少体系建构、文化思辨缺少方法工具、文化交际缺少价值引领三个方面。本研究从国别区域研究的学理基础出发,基于教学实践,提出知识传授、思维训练、价值塑造三个维度的课程建设内容,并基于上述内容提出课程在教学理念和教学方法两个层面的具体建设路径。研究为国别文化类课程建设与教学改革提供参考,也为英语专业人才培养转型提供思路。
Country and Area Studies (CAS) courses are an important part of the undergraduate curriculum for English majors. Introduction to Major English-Speaking Countries, one in the CAS course system, however, reports pedagogical problems of such courses in knowledge learning, critical thinking and value communicating. Based on the theoretical classification of disciplines and by drawing on the experience of classroom teaching, this study proposes forming knowledge systems, providing analytical tools and shaping values as the main aspects of course construction. The study further suggests paths of course construction in terms of teaching philosophies and teaching methods. %K 《英语国家概况》, %K 国别区域研究, %K 课程建设
