This research endeavors to conduct a thorough analysis of the pivotal role of actors’ emotional expression in enhancing the appeal of the drama “Four Generations under One Roof,” grounded in the theoretical frameworks of Stanislavski’s system and Brecht’s performance theory. Through a detailed examination of emotional expression elements such as actors’ language, actions, and facial expressions on stage, coupled with empirical data from audience surveys and interviews, as well as a plethora of performance cases, the study delves into multiple perspectives to uncover the inherent connection between actors’ emotional expression and the appeal of the drama. The research demonstrates that when actors’ emotional expression reaches a level of precision, depth, and clear hierarchy, it significantly elevates the overall appeal of the drama, enabling the audience to gain a deeper understanding of the inner worlds of the characters and fostering a stronger emotional resonance between the audience and the roles. Furthermore, the article also conducts an in-depth exploration of how actors can continually enhance their performance skills and emotional understanding, aiming to provide guidance for actors to better portray their characters and lay a solid foundation for the successful performance of the drama.
