The group use of WeChat Moments has become the new normal for young people to post Moments, and this paper focuses on the specific situations and psychological strategies of college students facing different social “situations”. The study found that the different settings in different situations are a kind of “pseudo-backstage” performance, but it is also a necessary “performance”, and when “revealing oneself”, it is really to let go of the foreground, not speak lines, and get rid of the role; And when the performance “goof” and “collapse” occur, the “performer” has different degrees of identity anxiety and tries to escape from this “pseudo-backstage”. The grouping of college students is not a social division; each user is not only an audience, but also a performer who does not necessarily know it, and it is always more suitable for “performance” across the screen than face-to-face. The study concluded that avoiding immersive virtual self-presentation, reasonable self-presentation, and increasing real interaction are conducive to the socialization and mental health development of college students.
