This paper explores the application of emotional interaction theory in the design of pop-up books, taking “This Is China” as an example to analyze how emotional design can enhance user experience and the effectiveness of cultural communication. The article begins by introducing the basic concepts of emotional interaction theory and the current state of pop-up book design, then discusses the value of emotional interaction theory in pop-up book design. Subsequently, it proposes design methods for pop-up books based on this theory and conducts an empirical analysis using “This Is China” as a case study.
