Education for the elderly in rural areas is not only an integral part of the revitalization of rural culture, but it also plays a vital supporting role in the rejuvenation of rural industries, talents, ecology, and organizational structures. As we move into a new phase of overall rural revitalization and accelerate the modernization of agriculture and rural areas, education for the elderly in rural regions is encountering a period ripe with opportunities for vigorous development, as well as facing numerous practical difficulties and severe challenges. Standing at this new historical juncture, we should embark on a path of distinctive development for rural elderly education by establishing institutional mechanisms for such education, creating a skilled teaching workforce, precisely designing educational content tailored for the elderly in rural areas, and setting up a quality assessment system for the curricula of rural elderly education. %K 农村老年教育, %K 时代机遇, %K 现实挑战, %K 实现路径
