The importance of thinking capacity as a key element of core literacy is becoming increasingly important. In the field of English teaching, teachers are committed to integrating the development of thinking capacity into classroom teaching. By designing inspiring questions and guiding students to think and discuss deeply, students’ critical thinking ability and innovative spirit are stimulated. This teaching mode not only improves students’ English proficiency, but also cultivates their independent thinking and problem-solving abilities, laying a solid foundation for students’ overall development. This article takes the second volume of Junior High School English Grade 8 Unit 4 Why don’t you talk to your parents? Section B (2a-2e) as an example to explore how to infiltrate the cultivation of thinking capacity in the reading process.
