This study investigates the impact of ethnic minority high school students’ use of their native language on their national identity, with a focus on the mediating roles of psychological capital and ethnic identity. The research subjects were 183 ethnic minority high school students from a national high school in Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. Utilizing the Psychological Capital Questionnaire for Adolescent Students, Ethnic Identity Scale, and National Identity Scale, the study explored the relationship between the use of native languages among ethnic minority high school students and their sense of national identity. The findings revealed that the use of native ethnic languages by ethnic minority high school students was significantly and positively correlated with their psychological capital and ethnic identity. Additionally, psychological capital was found to be significantly and positively correlated with both ethnic identity and national identity, and ethnic identity was significantly and positively correlated with national identity. The study also demonstrated that psychological capital serves as a mediator in the relationship between ethnic minority language use and national identity. Furthermore, psychological capital and national identity collectively act as a chain mediator between minority language use and national identity. %K 少数民族语言使用,民族认同,国家认同,心理资本
