With the development of society, the problem of population aging in China is becoming more and more serious. In the context of an aging society, how to give the elderly a sense of security and security is an urgent problem to be solved. History is a mirror. Taking history as a mirror, we can know that the ancients put forward many valuable ideas to solve the problem of providing for the aged, and implemented many measures for the aged. Especially under the background of a hundred schools of thought contending in the pre-Qin period, many thinkers put forward the idea of providing for the aged, including “benefits for the elderly”, respect for the elderly and so on, which is still of great practical significance to the current aging population and providing for the aged.
