This study delves into the pivotal role of the “Mathematical Methods in Physics” course within the STEM education system, highlighting its critical contribution to blending mathematical and physical knowledge and fostering scientific thinking and innovative capabilities. The course “Mathematical Physics Methods” not only imparts specialized knowledge, but also emphasizes providing students with comprehensive education through mental training and skill development. The paper focuses on the integration of ideological and political (ideopolitical) elements within this course, exploring their significance and practical challenges in the current educational context. It reveals the profound impact of incorporating ideopolitical education in enhancing students’ moral integrity and sense of social responsibility and proposes a set of viable reform strategies and methods. This research aims to provide a scientific basis and operational guidance for the reform of ideopolitical education in STEM fields, thereby aiming to enhance the “Mathematical Methods in Physics” course comprehensively.
