Abstract algebra is the basic course of mathematics majors in universities, which plays an important role in cultivating students’ abstract thinking and mathematical literacy. In this paper, from the characteristics of abstract algebra and the study of students, combining the author’s practice and experience, we introduce some attempts and explorations of the examination reform in abstract algebra.
