Nowadays, there has been an existence of a gap between traditional culture and contemporary art in artistic creation. Its essence stems from the gap between individual and group aesthetics, as well as the cultural changes of the era. Based on the superior understanding of Taihu stones and literati aesthetics, the creation of the sculpture Qu Shui Eight Yin is a highly contemporary practice and discussion from the perspective of multiple duality, combining traditional culture and contemporary art in a profound way. Its multiple duality is mainly embodied in the duality of time and space and the duality of heaven and man.
