In the context of social progress and continuous technological updates, public libraries are facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities. Especially under the dual pressure of offline operational difficulties and technological development, in recent years, the development focus of public libraries has gradually shifted to the construction of online platforms. This article explores the new trends in the information design of public libraries’ online platforms through case analysis. It utilizes psychological theories to study the basic tasks of information design in the construction of public libraries’ online platforms. The article also applies the METUX happiness model to propose specific design strategies. It provides guidance for professionals in the library industry and the field of information design, helping them use information design to bring new vitality and enlightenment to the future development of public libraries’ online platforms.
