%X 本文基于《双城记》不同译本的英汉平行语料库，对《双城记》的宋兆霖译本和石永礼、赵文娟译本中“使”字句的应用分布进行了定量分析，并从认知和语用角度探讨了“使”字句应用的内在动因。研究表明，在《双城记》中，宋译本和石译本中“使”字句的使用频率高于许多汉语原创文学作品，本文认为上述译本中“使”字句应用的原因主要为认知句法原因和翻译策略与方法原因。<br />
Based on the English-Chinese parallel corpus of different translations of <i>A Tale of Two Cities</i>, this paper conducted a quantitative analysis of the distribution of the use of causative sentences in the translations of <i>A Tale of Two Cities</i> by Zhaolin Song and Yongli Shi and Wenjuan Zhao. From the cognitive and pragmatic perspectives, the inherent reasons for the application of causative sentences were explored. The paper found that in <i>A Tale of Two Cities</i>, the frequency of the use of causative sentences in the Song and Shi translations was higher than that in many original Chinese literary works. This paper believed that the reasons for the use of causative sentences in the aforementioned translations were mainly due to cognitive syntax and translation strategies and methods.
