%X This paper conducts a comprehensive review of the undergoing ideological and political education integrated into curriculum development in China and discusses the practice of it based on the case of EFL teaching at the tertiary level. It is claimed that a synergistic effect amongst its objectives, content, implementation, and evaluation will facilitate the reform. It is suggested that in order to address the challenges faced by different stakeholders during the course of the curriculum development, factors of EFL teaching force, textbook design, teaching content selection, as well as institutional support should be taken into consideration.
