Nowadays, as global ecological security is facing serious threats, people’s awareness of ecological protection is gradually increasing. Current ecological discourse analysis studies mainly focus on news reports, corporate discourse, literary novels and other fields. However, there have been very few studies undertaken on museums that are related to ecology from the perspective of transitivity. Based on this, this article takes The Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture as the research object, builds its own corpus to sort out and make statistics on its linguistic landscape, and applies the theory of Ecological Discourse Analysis to explore the ecological thoughts and social background behind its linguistic features. Here are the primary three findings of this study: Firstly, the museum uses material and relational processes frequently to demonstrate the comprehensive consideration of the surrounding ecological environment and other factors when choosing the site. Secondly, the linguistic landscape of the museum reveals that it attaches great importance to the intrinsic value of nature and gives full play to the human subjective initiative. Lastly, the ecological thoughts contained in the linguistic landscape of the museum are the innovation and development of the eco-wisdom of the Chinese excellent traditional culture.
