The emancipation of women is closely linked not only to the progress of society, but also to the emancipation of all mankind. Engels’ <i>Origins</i> (<i>The Origin of the Family Private Property and the State</i>) is the most comprehensive and focused work on the Marxist theory of women. <i>The Origins</i> are rich in the idea of women’s emancipation, and Engels analysed the evolution of women’s status and the root causes of their oppression, and in this regard proposed that the main ways of women's emancipation should be the participation of women in social work, the socialization of domestic work and the elimination of private ownership. Engels’ ideas on women’s emancipation also have important guiding significance and inspiration for women's emancipation and development at the present time.
