%X Sherlock Holmes, the literary character created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, is used in this work to illustrate the deductive skills needed in science. Holmes¡¯ own story is used to illustrate the use of analogy and to highlight the importance of stereoisomerism and the properties of enantiomers in medical practice.
