The phenomenon of literal and colloquial reading of Yang rhyming in Xiezhou sub-cluster of the Fenhe cluster of Zhongyuan Mandarin not only shares the common characteristics of the Fenhe cluster of Zhongyuan Mandarin, but also has unique features. As follows: The colloquial reading of Xian (咸) is pronounced as [a?, ia?/ɑ??, iɑ??], the same as the Dang (宕), in the Hejin and Hancheng dialects of Xiezhou sub-cluster, the colloquial reading of Shen (深) is pronounced as [??], the same as the Zeng, reflecting the opposition between Xian (咸) and Shan (山), Shen (深) and Zhen; Geng (梗) thirdly and Geng (梗) fourthly have different vowels, the pronunciation preserves more relics of Northwest Dialect in Tang (唐) Song (宋) period; there are two levels of Tong (通) in Xiezhou sub-cluster, colloquial reading is called [u(ou), uo], colloquial reading two as [?n, u?n, yn/ei, uei, yei]. These characteristics indicate that it may be a legacy Northwest Dialect in Song (宋) period.
