This study aims to elucidate the evolution of Japanese cultural and creative product design over the past seven decades to enhance readers’ comprehension of this field. The development of Japan’s cultural and creative industries is delineated across four distinct stages. Exemplary cases of cultural and creative product design within each stage are meticulously examined, with subsequent analysis and synthesis of their defining characteristics. Finally, summarize the design strategy of Japanese cultural and creative products. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the historical progression of Japanese cultural and creative product design. The trajectory of Japanese cultural and creative products is traced from traditional craftsmanship to digital content, encompassing a shift from broad diversification to personalized, individualized.
