The color in movies, as a visual language, often has certain implicit meanings. In contemporary film art, the expressive function of color has become more mature. Film colors participate in narratives and have specific connotations and metaphors. This article takes “blue” in the film The Falls directed by Taiwan’s Chung Mong-Hong as an example to explore the role of film color design from four aspects: color design and film emotional symbolism, artistic conception and atmosphere rendering, character creation, and deepening of the film’s theme. %K 电影色彩设计,《瀑布》,蓝色
