%X [目的/意义]:读者评价是检验作品译介效果的重要标准,是对图书传播效果的重要考量依据。对英语国家读者评价的影响因素研究,能了解英语国家读者对非英语文学经典的接受意向和选择偏好,从而有针对性地对中华文化走出去策略进行调整与优化。[方法/过程]:本研究以中华名作英译本及其相应亚马逊(Amazon)网关于中华经典作品英译本的读者评分为例,综合分析影响读者评价的主要因素。[结果/结论]:分析发现,非英语文学经典海外读者评价的影响因素有:译本的用词多样性、平均句长、易读性和文本的正式程度。因此,传播中华文化不仅要从文化角度进行深入研究,更应该综合考虑海外读者的阅读习惯,对译本有更高的要求。
[Purpose/Significance]: Reviews from readers are an important standard for evaluating the trans-lation of classics. By researching the factors which affect the evaluation of translations, the ac-ceptance and preference of English readers to non-English literary classics can be understood, therefore optimizing the strategy of Chinese culture spreading out. [Method/Process]: In this study, the English translation of Chinese masterpieces and their online comments of readers on Amazon were taken as examples, comprehensively analyzing the main factors which affect readers’ evalua-tion. [Result/Conclusion]: The analysis shows that the influence factors of foreign readers’ evalua-tion of non-English literary classics are: Word diversity, average sentence length, readability and formal degree of text. Therefore, the translation of Chinese classics should not only carry out in-depth research from the cultural perspective, but also consider the reading habits of overseas readers, and have higher requirements for the translation.
