New Thinking on the Internationalization of Graduate Education in the Field of Medical Engineering: Reflection on the Practice of a Full English Curriculum Construction

%X 研究生教育国际化对于高校培养高层次创新型人才具有重要意义,全英文研究生专业课程建设是推动国际化教学的重要手段,也是“双一流”建设的内在要求。目前,我国研究生教育国际化主要存在英语环境营造不足、专业内容高阶性不够、课程思政建设不足、教学方式单一、学科交叉融合不足、实践环节设置不够等问题,本文对天津大学四门全英文课程的建设工作进行回顾,总结了相关课程“跨学院”、“跨学位”、“跨年级”、“跨国家”的四跨特色。同时,从全英文专业课程内容设计、课程思政、授课方式、评价标准、环境营造、师资队伍建设以及新思维下国际人才培养教育模式等几个方面来探讨中国高等教育国际化的发展方向及策略。
The internationalization of graduate education holds significant importance for universities in nurturing high-level innovative talents. The development of full English teaching programs is a crucial means to promote internationalization in higher education and align with the internal requirements of the “Double First-Class” initiative. Currently, there are several challenges to achieving internationalization in graduate education in China. These challenges include insufficient creation of English-speaking environment, a lack of advanced content in specialized fields, inadequate integration of moral education into course design, a limited variety of teaching methods, insufficient interdisciplinary collaboration, and a lack of practical components in the curriculum. This article reviews the progress made in the development of four full English courses at Tianjin University and identifies their distinctive characteristics in terms of “cross-disciplines”, “cross-degrees”, “cross-grades”, and “cross-nationalities”. Furthermore, the article explores the development direction and strategies for internationalization in Chinese higher education from various perspectives, including the design of fully English-taught courses, add moral education within the curriculum, multimedia teaching methods, objective evaluation standards, the creation of conducive environments, full-cycle faculty development, and innovative models for international talent cultivation in the context of new paradigms.
