%X 古典名句的英译在我国对外宣传翻译中担任着不可忽视的重要角色，是世界了解中国的重要载体。从文化翻译的视角对其研究，有助于促进跨文化传播。中国文化要素在中国政治话语的海外传播中具有极为重要的意义。基于苏珊巴斯奈特的文化翻译观，文章对领导人讲话中引用的四类文化要素显著语句——典籍名句，诗句，成语，俗语的翻译策略进行评析，探讨文化元素英译策略及其文化翻译的总体倾向。<br />
The translation of Classical Chinese Sentence plays an important role in China’s international pub-licity translation, which is an important carrier for the world to understand China. Its study from the perspective of cultural translation can help promote cross-cultural communication. Chinese cultural elements are of great significance in the overseas dissemination of Chinese political dis-course. Based on Susan Bassnett’s view of cultural translation, this paper evaluates the translation strategies of four types of cultural elements in the English translation of leaders’ speeches: notable phrases, canonical quotations, poems, idioms, and colloquialisms, and explores the strategies of translating cultural elements into English and its general tendency of cultural translation.
