collected from the base of <i>Aplectrum</i> <i>hymale</i> individuals to assess mycorrhizal spores
abundance. The hypothesis that mycorrhizal spore abundance would increase with
proximity to the plant was not supported; however, spores increased significantly
with distance from the <i>Aplectrum</i> <i>hymale</i> plants up to one meter.
